Robotics and Roll-to-Roll Manufacturing Research Labs

Texas A&M University College of Engineering

Home

Our research group is headed by Dr. Prabhakar Pagilla, who is a Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University. Our group focuses on modelling and development of Advanced Control Systems for various Industrial and Autonomous applications. We have 2 major fields of applications: Robotics and Roll-to-Roll Manufacturing.

  • Motoman GP50
  • pick and place
  • abb
  • UR10
  • Turtlebots
  • vector and obstacles

Research Focus:

  • Human Robot Collaboration
  • Robotic Manufacturing
  • Computer Vision-based work-piece localization
  • Decentralized web control
  • Nano-imprint Lithography
  • Roll-to-Roll Manufacturing

In the Robotics domain, our work has a huge span, ranging from trajectory optimization and control of Robotic Manipulators to Advanced Computer Vision Algorithms for workpiece localization. Another major domain our group focuses on is Collaborative Robotics.
